Planning to drive my car from Bangalore to Delhi

Has anyone here had an experience like this? Or any experience with a super long drive? Any suggestions for the long drive? What are the dos and don’ts from your experience? Also, any route recommendation?

I have done this trip, last year in April. It was an amazing drive, roads are super nice and you won’t have any issues on the highway.
We started around 5am from Bangalore and made our first overnight stop at Nagpur and we reached around 6-7pm. We made small stops in between as well. After reaching Nagpur, we went to a brewery, had some beer and in the morning again started at 9am.
Our next target was to reach Jhansi which we reached around 7pm. (here you should stop and book a stay)
When we reached Jhansi, we saw that delhi is only 6hrs away and we did the night journey which should be avoided. Road from Jhansi to Agra is narrow and at night a lot of drunk drivers and trucks are there. Once you reach Yamuna expressway then it’s nice but Jhansi to Agra at night must be avoided.

Anyways, we reached Delhi at 1:30 am next day and we were super exhausted. But overall amazing journey.

Unless you’re undertaking the journey for pleasure, much better to get a packer and mover to get your car and fly yourself. Not much difference in cost and drastically less exhaustion :)

@Xenocryst I love driving. So it’s mostly because of that. But I also don’t want the the the packers and movers guys to spoil my new car. Have heard a lot of bad stories.

For that there is a solution. Use the original Agarwal packers and movers agarwalpackers.com . I’ve used them 3 times so far for car shifting ( between Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai) and they have delivered the car without a single scratch every time.

I did a Delhi - Bangalore solo trip last year in April. Roads for the most part were good except for some rough patches around Nagpur.
Covered the journey in 2 days driving almost 12-13 hours/day and had halted for the night in Nagpur.
Be careful of the wandering cows and dogs on the roads. Get your car serviced for brakes and ensure your tyres are in a good condition before undertaking the journey.

Damn! Delhi to Nagpur currently shows around 18-19hrs. Same from Nagpur to Delhi. How did you manage to cover each stop in 12-13 hrs?

@studMax did solo Blr-Del over 3.5 days with enough time to work and chill as well. Day 1 - 6 am - Blr - Hyd - 1:30 PM (meetings, chill) Day 2 - 7 am - Hyd - Nagpur - 2 PM (work and chill)
Day 3 - 6:30 am Nagpur - Jhansi - 2:30 PM (work) Day 4 - 7 am Jhansi - 1 PM - Delhi

One tip - Nagpur to Jhansi (specially stretch inside MP) has a lot of cows so keep your speed under 90 and be vigilant while driving.
