Review: Working with Citi bank as Vendor

My company is vendor with citi bank for their software engineering and technology needs. Citi has its own employees for software engineering and they have non employees from various vendors. Here sharing my personal experience:

Citi bank employees treat vendor employees with utmost no empathy, create discouraging environment by acting less welcoming, less approachable which makes one feel not belonging to team, less empowered and encouraging. They won't groom you, won't communicate and collaborate and suddenly some day they will ask completion of task and if not done, they will threaten you with escalation to your manager, showing you as under performing and eventually will demand release from citi projects. The manager being vendor to citi won't do due diligence or have dialogue and will obey whatever THE CLIENT citi employees say. This is kind of genocide of brilliant employees who joins citi team expecting team intro call, adjusting in new environment where responses to queries very rare from citi employees, adapt to working style with zero collaboration spending extra hours, learns the system and then playing dirty politics eventually resource is released stating not performing where manager also can not take stand against client.

Simply it was worst time of my career and many like me who were tortured the same way i was.

Being a software engineer for Product so far, it was nightmare for me in Service for client Citi.

I wish this doesn't happen with anyone else πŸ™πŸ™

So sorry to hear that... which team and department are you working with ? Since I joined the CITI my team also has vendor employees but I never observed this treatment towards them.
