ROC FTC role
is it worth taking up a 6 month ftc role for the post of transportation specialist - I at amazon hyderabad. I have been jobless for almost an year now due to a personal reason and anytime an HR calls for an opportunity, they straightforward deny saying the Gap is too much to be able to hire you again. now I have received offer from Amazon for this trans spec role but it is a 6 month contract and pays less than 4.5 lpa. I am not a localite from Andhra or nearby, I belong to the North so I am not sure if I should take up this role. can anyone help?
- how to get converted from ftc to fte
- what next steps should i take to get a job if i dont want to be blindly dependent on amazon for fte conversion
- should i take a risk to relocate because i would hardly save anything
- if not this role, can i get converted to any other role a an fte please guide

For relocation they will give you 75K as a relocation bonus. There are many departments in ROC, RGM and DM are the hardest I won't wish that on my enemies.Ask them if it's voice proces or not (if it's a voice proces ask them to change it to a non voice process )Other departments are chill being permanent depends on your performance they are also starting out in Bangalore.

They won't give any relocation bonus for FTC role.

Dear, I've joined amazon as an FTC in transportation specialist only but unfortunately then didn't extend or convert my contract. But some of my colleagues get converted from ftc to fte. So give your best, performance matters a lot and make sure you don't have any behavioural call-outs. If there are business requirements and your score card is good then there are chances that you will be permanent. All the best.

You don't have a job and at the moment and you are unemployed for almost a year. Get this job and look out for better alternatives. For the salary part I would request you to negotiate because 4.5 would be very difficult if it's not WFH. Hope you get the best opportunity.

Any other role would be tough. Full time conversion will depend on your performance and contract may also gey extended . I advice you to keep interviewing for different roles parallely.
