What account did you choose to get your salary in and why?
HDFC is professional, reliable, fast and has a good application.
In Ahmedabad, hdfc bank branch manager makes you run around like they're SBI, they needs physical visit for reactivate dormat NRE account which they themselves stopped, will reject incoming swift txn, not reliable unless I take their privileged banking.
PS. I've been troubled very much by hdfc so sharing their snobbish tactics.
Over your career, keep shifting and do 2-timing the banks! I did hdfc+idbi+Axis before, now settled on hdfc+sbi pair.

What purposes do you use your accounts for?
Initially employers used to force for specific bank. And pre-UPI, atm withdrawals were charged. So I preferred having many debit cards to withdraw.
Now I keep backup in case of downtime, scams, account gets locked etc. I wanted to keep one for expenses and one for savings, but I haven't gotten around to that system
