Salary Insight required
Interning with this startup, it’s been 3 months and they want to onboard me full time.
It’s a founder office (generalist) where I contribute in both sales and marketing (It’s a B2B SaaS startup)
How much salary should I expect? I spoke to a few people on linkedin and they said they’d offer 8-10LPA for someone like me
I’d be really grateful if you guys can share your thoughts, will help me set my expectations better!
Depends upon your education, their funding, value you create, work life balance, location your team, future growth opportunity.
If it is 6 day working you can ask higher wage.
Toxic work culture, too much stress + higher growth u can ask for more.
All depends upon your priorities
Education- tier 3, non engg (Though they have explicitly mentioned they only hire people from tier-1 colleges but still ended up hiring me) Seed funded (Tier 1 investors) Value I can’t speak for but they have been vocal regarding my performance being great (even the CEO has mentioned it) Fully remote Future opportunity seems great given we’re growing rapidly, optimising for profit and have interest from investors plus my role gives me a bird eye view of SaaS GTM Strictly 5 days a week Culture is the best but everyone easily works for 12 hours everyday
Can you share an estimate based on the info I provided?
My priorities are straight- I want to optimise for my career at this point of life and don’t mind working long hours as long as i’m being paid fairly. Planning to startup after 2 years of full-time experience :)
Majority of the appreciation is fake ....so ignore any appreciation.... Tier 3 ..non eng...means u r in non tech role....and u r still a fresher....if they are offering 8-10 ...the package is fair ....nothing less than 6lpa is acceptable at higher end max u can ask is 12lpa....
Keep track of your learnings and startups funding, because if funding stops, or revenue is not good enough to sustain u will be fired without any compensation.
Welcome to the corporate world....all the best
10 lpa is a good start seeing the market condition
