Lol same question. This guy has 5-10k budget and someone asked him to increase it to 13k, while poor me is wearing 1300/- decathlon shoes to the gym. 😅

It’s depend on you in which shoes you feel comfortable to do the the exercise movement. Even some people do perform better in exercise without shoes as well.

For gym shoes 5-10K it’s big amount.

  1. Increase your budget to 13k. Drastic difference between shoes you will get at 10k and 13k

  2. Go for genuine stores, even if it means lesser discount

Coming to the shoes: If the focus is on cardio or floor workouts, go for Asics Nimbus. Last two year models are also good enough. Nothing can beat these shoes

If focus is on weightlifting, go for Nike Metcon (the latest one). The stability and control they offer will help you in PRs. Also your feet will thank you for not deforming them by wearing running shoes and doing deadlifts.
