Should a Software Engineer Marry a Teacher?

I'm a 28-year-old software engineer, earning between 35-50 LPA, and currently at a crossroads in my personal life. I’m considering marrying a girl (26 years old) who is preparing for government job exams. She has taken a break from her previous job for this preparation. She holds an MSc in Mathematics and has successfully cleared several competitive teaching exams like HTET, CTET, and NET.

On a personal level, I like her personality, and we get along well. I find her attractive too. However, I’m a bit confused about the profession aspect. If she secures a government job, I would likely need to stay restricted to Delhi NCR region due to her job's location preferences. She’s okay with working in the private school/colleges for now, but her long-term goal is to secure a government job. There’s also a possibility that she might pursue a PhD in the future.

I’d love to hear thoughts from those who’ve been in similar situations. Is it practical for a software engineer to marry a teacher with such career constraints? How do you handle the balance between career growth and personal relationships? Any advice or experiences would be really helpful!

Na ho paye. government job tak theek tha. PhD karo ya marriage, ek hi cheez ho sakti he is age mein. In 3-5 years you would have to plan family any ways. There won't be anytime post that.

See nobody can predict the future maybe tomorrow you don't have a job and she is the one earning. Or maybe tomorrow you might get a better high paying job in another country. What I will say is follow your heart so that in future you don't have a guilt.
