swiggy continues to silently layoff

PIP on the raise at Swiggy, saw couple of post with good fellas leaving. can someone confirm or deny this fact that PIP is used a weapon to downsize the teams in order to show profit for upcoming IPO next year?

yes, that's true. One of my friend works there and he tells that his manager scares him in every 1-1 that "we have laid off people from time to time in the past and if you don't work hard, we'll let you go as well". Can see him easily working at least 12 hours at junior level. Sounds very sick to me!

Which team he is in? Wonder how culture can change so much after a bunch of good leaders leave the org.

I just came across many folks (including engg managers) who are currently working at swiggy, saying that swiggy is hiring for aSDE (god knows wtf is aSDE. Isnt SDE 1 the starting point for freshers?).

The requirement says that they should have 0-2yrs of experience, but their year of graduation should be atleast 2022. What about folks who graduated in 2021 ? 😂

Those people are just want to make money by referrals aSDE is an intern a term coined to fool engineers. They can hire them at throw away price and get some projects done who are not willing to do internally for promotion or growth purpose. Which basically don’t have any meat/substance yet it’s required kind of projects. Apply your discretion

Starting sal is 5 lpa for aSDE. The bar for pay is going down day by day. Best to avoid unless you have nothing in hand.

That is true. A good no of folks (in engg) are already on notice. And they are planning to let go to reach a certain headcount. Announced in townhall. Sad.

I've been sensing some uncertainty at my workplace, and it's making me think about preparing for the possibility of layoffs.

  1. How does one manage uncertainty before a layoff, and what should be the mindset?

  2. What practical steps d...
