the real grind of being a product manager

Contrary to what everyone seems to believe, being a product manager is a high stress job. Many people think we get "big tech pay" without putting in the effort, but that’s not true at all. I just started my first PM gig, and it's way harder than I imagined.

There is the risk of working on products no one cares about, and the fear of your product getting deprioritized and all your hard work going down the drain. Plus, the schedules are packed with back-to-back meetings.

It is definitely a role you shoudl sign up for only if you're real passionate about the problem statement
