To HR's,

When will the undeclared Hire Freeze gonna end? Most companies have been saying they will fix an interview, and ask me dates as well. But the expected meeting email will never come. It's not about rejections, companies filter soley via expected salary in the first step.

In addition to this, companies arent preferring candidates who are ok to relocate as well.

FYI: Ive been looking for APM role for past 2 months. Fine with generalists roles as well. Appreciate with any leads.

Thanks

I have experience as PM in SaaS. Plus I'm not a developer and from non CS background. Worked as a Business Analyst and been through a lay off now.

Ok if you like the PM field it's good..but I'm seeing too many PMs and very few jobs..many ISB , Wharton graduates are without a job currently ..hope things improve soon.. dev jobs otoh are atleast 8-10x more than PM jobs..

PM/APM roles are outdated. Scrum Master does that with Agile tools. Look for tech related roles if you want to survive.

Thanks. But still many companies can't afford scrum masters. PM or a standard project manager can be billed much lesser than SM.

Scrum Masters are from clients side, not from vendors. PM/APM are not billable, so they are rarely hired by companies.

Yes they can.

Asking these questions to the HR is like asking a plumber when it will rain?

Feel your pain. But HR has least control on such decisions. They are just trying to prove their wage worth and almost like headless chickens.

Have seen HR really doubling down on the management leadership to stop this show of interviews/roles. During that time, they can do a lot of very important projects but the way HR hires for their team now - doubt anyone in their team would have any other skill than just paper pusher roles.

You see such interview loops going on for ages - highly likely the HR leadership is incompetent to discuss the actual problem and suggest alternatives for better team productivity. Damn - leave productivity aside for a bit, manage the company reputation at least.
