What Kind of Resume Works? Constantly Getting Rejected at the Gate
I've been applying to Google for a long time now as a Data Engineer, even with referrals, but I keep getting the "We won’t be moving ahead with your profile" rejection.
I’ve made my resume as ATS-compliant as possible, but it doesn’t seem to help. Also, I interviewed for an unrelated role at Google last year with a weaker resume. Now, when applying for a role that aligns with my 5 years of experience, I’m getting rejected outright.
For context:
Experience: 5 years as a Data Engineer
Current Role: DE3 at Walmart
Education: Tier 1 college

What is it that Google is expecting in a Data Engineer resume? Is it a formatting issue, content, or something else? Would appreciate insights from those who’ve successfully landed interviews.

I think they are looking for impact in terms of scale and business case in resume. Sometimes it's just luck 😕
At 5 yoe, you will be in fuzzy group, whether to give de or Sr de role, same with package, whether you are good with de package or need Sr de package
