What’s your reason to stay in India ?
No law Low percent of people paying taxes No good Infra Rise of recent regionalism No tech advancements in AI/Semiconductor
Planning to move to US, but at 30 not sure if i can go for MS
Talking product sense with Ridhi
9 min AI interview5 questions

My reason: No fcuking companies are sponsoring visas🤡

The only reason to stay in this country. Bhai tatti hai tatti. Politics (everyone) is corrupt from the ground to the PM and opposition. No one cares for law and order.

US mei counter stike khelte raho Biden k sath , wallmart sei bandoke kharid k , and agar man kare to kaneda chale Jana khalistanio and Trudeau k sath daaru peene 🤡

All the big tech companies are moving to India that’s one of the best reason to stay in India. They give 1/3rd TC when compared with USA but cost of living here is 1/5th of USA.

Dude, base comp is what you should consider. That's 1/6 of US. At the same time, cost of living ain't cheap. US public schools and universities - you can actually get into one and their infra and curriculum are pretty decent. We don't get that here atleast in schools and colleges have very limited seating There are so many other things, tech community there, new gadgets etc is all really great and you can actually afford them better than you would here (take Iphone for example, you don't have to take EMI there to get Iphone)
Also, the number of countries you can visit visa free. The PPP difference, etc

Lol, let me give you an example an L6 in Google gets between 1.5-1.8 Cr on lower side, where as in Austin/Texas this comp is lower in US. Only Seattle, Bay Area, New York, London & Switzerland is on high pay, rest BLR pays more. So India is now not a cheap labour market anymore. Next emerging market is Poland, Romania, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia etc.

Pure air, 24 hours running potable water World class medicine, Best quality packaged food, Low chance of getting diabetes, Lower chances of cancer Best roads Best law and order Minimum taxes
Only India can provide all this opportunity.

I can afford a driver, cook and house help. All I need is money in bank and a phone with internet, there are so many services, I can get everything at doorstep, if this is not convenience then I don’t know what it is,
All the things I mentioned above is not doable outside unless you get paid in million+ salary

It's because India have cheap labour.
And in West its not big hassle to go out and buy things. You can easily take out your car, finding a good parking coz of broader roads (even the road reaching your home) . And in india even after paying crores you will end up in slum

Flexing about using convenience from an industry which has risen up on the lines of slavery ? Earning bare minimum just to stay alive and relevant is your flex?

Because I'm working in startups and know that the opportunities are just greater in India/Asia currently vs. in the west. India is also home & family, and I like being here. It all works out.
There are benefits to being in the west, but you can't have everything.

Better to do MS, earn for 5-7 years, save 1cr-1.5cr and come back to India. I don't want myself fucked up by the mad people holding Contra style guns shooting at me...neither do I want my near and dear to face a hassle of bringing my dead body back to India when I die in a bizarre accident in the US. I am not a pessimistic guy but looking at the shitty political status, US will go to dogs in the next 2 decades. The rampant influx of illegal immigrants will impact the demography. They have shit load of guns ..700mn guns translating to 2 per person. Assume 10% of those guns find a way into these illegal immigrants. We will see a mad Max style civil war

For now I've evaluated these things and pros of leaving the country outweigh the cons
Pros in India
- Food. Man oh man
- Can take career breaks(took twice to start something of my own)
- Parents(major reason I stayed till now)
- Help(maids, cooks, security)
- People(Can go anywhere and make really good friends)
- Feeling of belonging here(although feeling going away with rise of regionalism, especially in Blr)
Cons
- Infra. I have a car and almost never wanna drive in Blr. Be it bad infra, or people competing for the worst driving possible
- No laws. On personal level, this felt scary and also while starting up, understood how bad the law is when I tried to held someone accountable to the contract
- Tech(AI/Semiconductor) boom. Although people say Indian has it, if you start something aiming for India, you will understand that pure tech companies won't survive in India. For example, most kind of fintech companies have now shifted to lending
- Regionalism. Saw so many cases of my friends getting abused by locals especially once the speak hindi
- Taxes. Why should I even pay tax when I don't get anything in return for ? And when I know majority of the people who benefit doesn't pay Tax
- Trains. I now stopped taking train to go to my home country
- Money. Even though things are affordable here, we aim to live with luxury. Friends save more there and thus can spend more on EU trips

Hi. I got fed up with the exact same reasons. Also add the aspect of poor work culture, work politics and emotional management that's so prevalent. I faced terrible work ethics at Dell Technologies before leaving India. Although this company has good culture in other countries in India it's fucked up to work for.
So I made the switch to US 8 months ago. Going through the transition of being a full time MS student after a decade of India work experience. I have completed two semesters so far and looking to graduate by Dec. For the summer months I somehow secured an internship and starting to build a pipeline of full time opportunities. I have a couple of full time option that can potentially click when it's Dec. It's too early to confidently say anything at this point.
I have 12 years of work experience in India.

Wow, thanks for your reply. Can I Dm you ?

Hello Beautiful souls,
Leaving aside all the points, my biggest motivation to stay in Bharat is Im and will always treated as a citizen of this Country. I prefer that rather than being called a second class citizen, resident alien or an immigrant for that matter.
Yes, my country may have issues but Im a part of those issues n their solutions as well.
So yes home is where the heart is and my heart n soul belong to Bharat. I will not trade this off for any materialistic small term benefits.

💯

Tell this in Bangalore as an outsider 🤡
