What's your most stupid interview mistake?
I hate myself a lot right now - I was interviewing with my dream company, and I did a long-ass assignment and got an interview and they told me they loved my assignment but I fucked up - they asked about my experience and instead of tailoring it to the job role, I got into the EGO-driven response cycle of "Oh but I've also done that and that and that and I can do so many things" and today they sent me a rejection saying they want someone who has expertise in that one particular area and my exp was too broad. :(

My dumbass got rejected for not being able to explain my work experience clearly even though my profile was perfect for the role

Instead of doing the marketing campaign assignment i was supposed to, i told my interviewer how she was doing her job incorrectly and that if hired I'd rather start there because marketing is easier without gaps in SEO and funnel optimization.
Big mistake lol.

I avoided disaster during my interview. The co-founder of the organization took my interview and surprisingly he was the alumni of my college, so he really started an informal rant about the college. He was trying very hard to make me break character and join in the rant but thankfully I avoided it and maintained a decent candidate character. And I landed the job so yeah, avoided a disaster I guess!

Oh I remember when during my freshers time, I had visited one interview offline for React. Damn it was a Rollercoaster, where I didn't knew one single answer that time. All estimates. Embarrassing
