Don't know what category I fall into, Born in 1998, had broadband internet at home since 2010. Had loaded dangerous dave game from floppy disk, got personal phone in class 7th, (nokia c5 symbian with WhatsApp and Skype).
Had the symbian phone (nokia 808) till 2016, have tinkerd will sisx files, qt and c++ code to make some apps work after the platform was sunset. Still admirer of delight cfw team and paul for the open source browser.
This was partly the reason I got into software engineering. I too sometimes get irritated by the vertical short video kids
Anytime, I think about generations, these things flash in front of me. Major problem is the dopamine overload we are experiencing and the attention span shortening with a constant need for validation.

Lmao. Kids born in 2005-10 had a smartphone as early as they can remember. We got our first phone in/after 10th grade. Definitely different generations.
