What people don't account for is flight tickets to visit family and friends. If you are from Delhi or even nearby states, you'll spend a significant amount on flight tickets if you opt for BLR.

100% agree, if North Indians stay in north only then both south Indian’s and North Indian’s will be live peacefully without any arguments.

Delhi. Bangalore is too expensive if compared. But do a comparison of expenses, at the end of the day it’s about what you are able to save/invest, excluding all expenses (rent, food, travel, leisure, etc)

Was in BLR. Came back as I realised while the CTC increased, so did the expenses. Saving was lower than what I could make here.

Obviously, role, career prospects, growth, etc are also parameters you should consider. But since you have quoted the CTC, I believe other parameters are already thought through. All the best.

Better people?
Never heard of B’lore folks being NICE, random cases don’t count.
Worst cops Worst local behaviour Worst public transport folks behaviour Worst landlords

Better water?
Tanker mafia, BMC connection missing for several housing societies Entire electronic city side is living off only tankers Maybe better RAIN WATER 😜

Better Street food?
Not for someone moving FROM Delhi

Better Air quality?
That’s the only winning argument

So much to consider
But the weather is nice šŸ˜›

P.s..take it with a pinch of salt, I’ve stayed in many places in and out of India including B’lore, Delhi/Ggn/Noida, Hyd, Mumbai, Pune And i travel regularly to many of these places

B’lore is running because of the jobs it offers Companies offer jobs bcos of concentration of available skilled resources

Most of the people are actually not happy going to Blore offices

I would pick 25LPA in BLR over 32LPA in Delhi anyday to avoid rowdies and air pollution.

There’s a CTC difference of about 10 LPA. If you go with the Bangalore offer and switch again after 1.5 to 2 years, your next hike could be based on a CTC of 42 LPA (plus any increments). But if you take the Delhi offer, that hike might be based on 32 LPA (plus increments).

So while it might be financially tight for the first couple of years, the long-term CTC advantage with the Bangalore offer is quite significant.

I don’t have a lot of experience yet, so feel free to correct me if I’m off here.

  1. You'll save rent by staying in Delhi.
  2. You'll not have a travel back home, so saving in terms of travel cost.
  3. Peace of mind by staying closer to your parents that you can take care of them, the moment they need you.
