It was clear: in South Bombay, wealth equals superiority, and everyone else is just background noise. That attitude? Absolutely toxic.

Exactly. This stereotyping is so misleading. Alot of sobo people are genuinely down to earth and nice as well. You will find toxic privileged people in the suburbs too. It's sad you had a not so great experience. Hope ul find someone to your liking sooner than later :)
