Unacademy CFO Resigns
Unacademy CFO Subbu has resigned. Shit doesn't seems to stopping any soon for Unacademy.
How many more folks from senior leadership will have to resign before investors throw Mr Munjal out of the company?
The new policies introduced by CFO Subramaniam in last 6 months have dented company's revenue massively.
His decisions will show results in long term, but in short term they are incurring losses. In the last investor meeting held with peak xv and softbank, this is the question investors were putting-
Good or for Bad, investors feel that decisions lacked ownership and growth intent.
Peak xv and softbank decided to replace CFO with their internal finance consultant, likely Jai Decosta.
What is your take on the decision?
Personal Distribution Policy for Educators was a decision taken by the CFO?
Is softbank so dumb that they dont see the stupidity of GM in whatever decisions that have been taken in last 1-2 years?
Unacademy was such a good startup, completely failed by Gaurav Munjal
I second that… CFO doesn’t take such policy decisions…. Its CEOs job or the business heads job
I completely agree, Unacademy use to be such a great company now it has become one of the most toxic companies. Don't when will Gaurav start using his brain and come of the rosy picture that is being pictured by few top execs and his close network
Can you please tell which are the most profit making businesses for Unacademy?
Does it really make a difference. With GM at helm, hardly anyone is able to drive independent decisions. So even if he would have have been there he would be a puppet just like all the current leadership team.
He would have been? Dude he was a puppet of GM.
CFO is the problem and the problem now is that he's created the bunch of problems and parting. He should be there to deal with the problems
No ways! I have personally seen Subbu following GM and his orders. How can one expect a CFO to take decisions (that took company's revenue down) with GM always around everything.
Subbu is used - by the teams of the most profit making businesses of UA. Simple!
