Airbnb as a Passive Income
Hi fam, wanted to know your thoughts on becoming Airbnb hosts in Bengaluru. I currently reside in bengaluru. Honestly, i had great airbnb experiences wherever I stayed and since I have a knack for DIY my interiors so why not become an airbnb host.
Give me thoughts as where should I start ? How to find good deals and property, should I take help of a broker? Is there any profit margin involve at initial level? What are extra costs involved like caretaker and maintenance? Are landlords in bangalore comfortable in leasing/renting out their property as airbnb?
I’m thinking to apply the lease/rental model instead of buying the property. If someone is doing the same wanted to know their journey. My aim is to start with one property and eventually expand it.

Airbnb Plans Expansion Beyond Short-Term Rentals
- Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky announced plans to expand into new products and services, including co-hosting and relaunching 'experiences'.
- The company aims to grow its revenue by offering more than just short-term vacation rentals.
- Co-hosting will connect homeowners who lack time to manage listings with those who have time but no property to offer.
- 'Experiences' will be relaunched next year, focusing on affordability and uniqueness, including ideas like personal chefs and massages.
- The expansion comes amid a weak Q2 for Airbnb, with profits falling 15% and stock dropping over 16% in after-market trading.

Abusive Drunk Manager at Airbnb
My relative works with Airbnb as a fully remote worker & thus was at my place for a few days & sobbed his heart out. There’s a super boss who’s abusive at work calls & just when i was about to tell him to chill & cope it, I was told the super boss was drunk at the call. My relative has never been a slack worker & has had multiple promotions at his previous company but it seems he’s close to a nervous wreck He’s close to depression now thanks to this super boss and contemplating putting his papers. The immediate boss of my relative has asked my relative to cop it & said that it’s just part of the job & wants my relative to continue in his role. I was wondering how well known companies like Airbnb has this culture?
