Hiring for Founder's office role at early stage startup
We’re looking for a Founder's Office (GTM Lead) to help us drive key initiatives in strategy, marketing, and operations. If you're a generalist with B2B SaaS experience and love problem-solving, this role is for you. Looking for a young (less than 3 years experience) and dynamic individual for this role.
At Bitscale, we’re a small, driven team of IIT Kanpur grads, building a product to make SDRs 10x more efficient. You’ll be deeply involved in our growth, working on high-impact projects that directly shape our future.
This role offers real ownership and flexibility. You’ll lead key initiatives, work closely with the founders, and gain hands-on experience with a growing startup. If you're up for a challenge, apply here -

Early stage startup vs Late stage startup?
Hi everyone, I would really like your opinion or your suggestion based on experience choosing between the two.
I have an offer from an early stage AI startup only done seed stage and have good investors and really good founders.
I am also expecting an offer from a late stage startup which will plan to go for an IPO in 2-3 years.
I am confused as to which one is better, I will get to learn a lot in both but at one place if things work I would grow exponentially, at the other I'll have great senior leaders to learn from.
TC:
I expect both to meet the base compensation.
Other things like PF, Insurance will be clear with late stage startup.
From the early stage startup I expect them to give good ESOPs.

Looking for Early Stage Startups to Join
Dear Startup Community,
I am currently employed at ICICI Bank, where I am a member of the Treasury team. In this role, I am responsible for managing the foreign exchange requirements of large corporate and multinational clients. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specializations in finance and strategy.
Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong interest in entrepreneurship. While my current position at ICICI Bank offers a comfortable salary and benefits, I find it lacking in terms of challenge and personal fulfillment. As a result, I am eager to transition into the dynamic and exciting world of startups.
I believe that I can bring valuable skills and experience to a startup environment. I am a skilled problem solver with a knack for learning new things. I also have a deep passion for entrepreneurship and a profound respect for the risks and rewards that come with starting a new business. Additionally, I have firsthand experience with the challenges of entrepreneurship, having previously founded and operated my own startup.
I am open to exploring opportunities with a primary focus is on finding an enriching experience where I can create real value and make a positive impact.
I kindly request the assistance of the startup community in connecting me with potential opportunities or providing guidance on how I can identify and pursue such opportunities.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

What do VCs check before investing in an early stage startup. How to approach VCs and do they really respond to early stage startup founders?
I have seen VCs usually don’t reply to cold emails and they have a clear rule before investing in any startup. Any VCs out here who can respond to this query. What’s your take over it fellow VC grapeviners ?

Joining an early stage startup - Need guidance
So, I am an analytics guy with almost 5.5 YoE under my belt. My latest transition was to Phonepe that I made this year (feeling shitty here already, given the kind of work creating almost no impact)
I saw a post on LinkedIn where the CEO of this startup recently raised some pre-seed funding (~1.5mn). Since I was following them for almost 6-7 months before this, I reached out to the founder on LinkedIn.
We first had a virtual call where we got to know each other and after that discussion, he called me over to his place where we further talked about the idea, the scope and the future while also discussing what I could bring to the table. Post that, we met again, and this time with the other co-founder who deep-dived a slight bit into the tech stack that I had worked on.
It seems that all is going well, but the founder, in the first face to face meeting told me that for the time being (for almost the next 3-4 months), he'll be able to pay me a monthly amount which is less than half of my current in hand pay, post which it'll be reviewed and adjusted accordingly. How do I negotiate this now? Also, since the team size is super small (only 5 full time folks and one customer support part timer), how do I negotiate on what equity I take (looking for a benchmark number here)?

Working at early stage startups
Hi everyone,
I am looking for job opportunities and have received a callback from a startup that has around 20 people in the company. 2-3 are US based, others are developers based in India.
I have 1 yoe and I wanted to get opinions about pros and cons of working in such a company.
I know learning will be good but I don't want to be burdened with work all the time. Working at such an early stage startups scares me mostly for this reason.
All opinions are welcome!!
