OYO has raised a Series G round. This round for $174 million, though, has come at a valuation of $2.4 billion—over 70% lower than the $9 billion valuation at which it last raised funds in 2021. The valuation of the startup, which had to withdraw its DRHP a second time this year It seems like OYO reached G-Spot but failed to orgasm again

Pre ipo platforms are offering oyo for 75rs per share.is it worth it.

In last 6-8 months there has been lot of layoffs and many startup getting scrutinised due to funding etc.. But I can’t see Oyo name anywhere… Not much layoffs or nothing on their crunch. Are they doing good or successful?

It’s considered immature to speak negatively of your past employers. But i am going to share some anyway. Used to work at Oyo with Ritesh - directly. Havent seen a more deluded personality - high headed, pretentious and above all, bipolar. He used to speak so rudely at times that it makes you question if the money is worth it. I have often wanted to tell some people - if he invested all the softbank funding into Nifty, LPs would have had a decent return than the ever failing IPO attempts. I am so glad the valuation reality kicked in and humbled these founders down. At the end of the day though they amassed a lot of wealth. But at what cost. Eager to hear on Byju BKLora.

Long time no news

Heard from a friend that about 40 to 50% workforce to be fired. Saw some post on Linkedin from product and tech folks working at oyo with open to work tag. Irony is Airbnb had the best quarter ever.
