Big-4

The recent incident in EY has sparked widespread anguish and awareness about how stressful it is to work in a big 4. Where deliverables are due every other day during peak season, pressure is constantly put forth by clients, colleagues and seniors due to very stringent and inflexible statutory deadlines, it becomes next to impossible to think or do anything else apart from work. Such extended hours of work are glorified and ones who thrive and accept this work culture are kept on a pedestal as an example of how others should be. But the question still thrives, is it worth it? Is it worth our very precious life? This incident is an eye opener for me and everyone else who's working in such work culture where WLB is totally missing. The choice is with us now, how much of this culture are we really ready to tolerate?

Day 1 When some of your manager ask to work you on weekends ask them for partner approval 3/4 times u work on weekends. It will help you after all. All you got to study is weekends. And put extra when your team is in need maybe working on weekend too it will benefit you only.

Who pays the most in fixed compensation to its Directors among the Big 4s and around how much?

How difficult or easy it is to shift from B4 legal consulting to becoming associates in tier 1 law firms in India? Are there any personal examples of people who have done it and are successful? Does it result in the discounting of their PQE? Does the salary reduce due to this shift?
