How to get job in WFH US based startup companies?
Hi , I'm coming across various posts that people landed wfh job in us based companies. Has anyone any idea how to approach them ?
Currently looking on LinkedIn for jobs , haven't got any luck
I look for job posting on platforms and then trying to dm the company person for the refferal. Ppl seldom ghost me .
Any tips how to find and approach opening in us based startup?

Current salary disclosure to US based startup
I make $50k USD in my current job and I am interviewing for a role in a US based startup. Their salary range for the role is mentioned to be $80-120k.
My ideal target is $100k with them. Shall I inflate my current salary to let's say $75k in the hope of an easier negotiation to $100k?
Can they do a background salary check in India? They are a tiny team of <10 folks.
The above thought is obviously under the assumption that they can't verify my salary in India and/or would not be bothered about it.
Is my assumption correct? And if yes then is my approach correct?
