Dealing with GPT impact
How are you planning to deal with upcoming GPT-4/5 impact? I am on a testing version through a company license and this thing is scary good. I don’t see companies hiring the way they used to anymore when half the engineers/designers/product people + GPT can do the same job. Are you anxious? Planning to switch to a country with better safety nets? Move fields with less automation and stress? Or not worried at all? :-)

Use it more to get a better sense of where it works and where it doesn't. At least a week or two. I'm using GPT4 as well. It does make mistakes without context. Later models miggt get way better
I hated copilot for some reason.. But gpt fits neatly into my workflow now... Writes tests, fixes my buggy code amazingly well.
I dream of going solo and working on my own ideas independently. That seems like a pretty good option right now. I have an army of robots to command after all.. Until they take over that is.

indeed it's scary. as a first i see analytics folks would see reduced demand since most of it can be automated (see not all), not sure about core engg software roles. what do you think about this
Wait and watch to see how the impact pans out in the next 2 years or so. I hope I'll be able to continue with my writing profile until then.

Do you think roles that have heavy customer engagement - customer succes/sales/ business development will too be affected by chatgpt?
I do anticipate massive reductions. Lot of workflow stuff can get automated and with some smart integration half the number of customer engagement folks can handle your entire workload

How soon do we expect all of this to happen?
