Hi All, We are planning to buy a builder floor flat(reason : we get more land share than buying an apartment). Budget within 1.5 to 1.8 cr My salary : 44lacs My husband's salary: 64 lacs We both have purchased two houses in our home towns in tier 2 cities. Together we both have a loan of approximately 44 lacs. We are not closing it because of tax benefit and also those loan accounts are OD we are getting approximately 7% interest. Till now we didn't have a plan of buying any property. We just had a plan of doing sip in mutual funds which will give more returns. But now we are feeling like buying one. Because both of us are doing wfh and our daughter started going to school. Parents are also staying with us. Is it a good idea to buy a house or stay in a rented property, have some savings for the next 10 years or so and buy with full cash?

I have saved 15L in the past 2.5 years, and i am planning to buy a home worth 50 L in tier 3 city. I want to take a Loan of the remaining amount and i am the only earner in my family. Considering the current situation of Layoffs/Downsizing etc etc in IT,is it okay to take a loan and solely depend on my income for loan repayment. Im 25 rn and we don't have our own house. I am a 22 year old Male working in Mumbai. I have just over an year’s ago experience of working in a consulting firm. My base is 26-30LPA. For those whose have invested in properties (residential), and those who chose not to - is it ideal for me to take a loan to buy a house for my parents. It’s price is ~1Cr and I’d be taking a loan for 5 years. I am wondering if a liability would hamper my growth (personally or professionally), or would this be a worthwhile investment. I am confident about the investment itself, as in i expect it to appreciate in value, but still have doubts about taking a loan. And advise/opinion would be helpful

I'm planning to take a loan for 60Lacs. which is the best bank to take from to get the lowest interest rate. what should be the duration of loan 5 or 10 years - based on getting Tax exemptions.

I’ll go first. 1. What kind of investor are you? I am an opportunity investor, and I do buy good stocks whenever they are in reasonable valuations. Below are my monthly numbers. 2. Where’s the majority of your investment portfolio ? I have three RE investments and one of them has loan. And I’m planning to buy a property in Goa or HP. 3. What’s your monthly investment breakdown? 1.7L/ Month (approx) 60k - SIP (mutual funds) 60k - stocks (smallcase, us stocks using vested) 30k - as opportunity fund, this is transferred to a different bank account 10-20k - for experimental investments in crypto, nfts, and some trading. This is a new segment and I don’t have much experience in this and that’s why starting small here. 4. Anything else you want to share? I am learning to invest on a daily basis. Planning to buy a house. I'm confused about what should be the max price range I should be targeting for. I was okay with going till 2 cr since I would be able to do 40% down-payment and take loan for 15 years whose monthly EMI wouldn't be more than 1/3rd of my monthly in hand salary. But after talking to few folks, realized that people are actually okay going for costlier properties. People who bought house in last 3-4 years, what % down-payment did you do and what % of your in hand salary is your EMI?
