How's life in your city ?

In Gurgaon for the past several months. This is the 2nd time that I am residing at Delhi NCR. This time, things are very different. And I'm hating it. 1. No offence to any class of people, but there is literally no one "middle-class" in public spaces like Taoji Biodiversity Park, Wazirpur Bundh Trail. They just don't feel safe. 2. The weather is so unforgiving when compared to Bengaluru/Pune/Mumbai/even Chennai that I am hating even my mandatory late evening walks. 3. Work life is also pretty bad as I find the office culture to be very constricting - from having CCTVs in office for employee surveillance to anti-WFH policies. There is also a lot of "netagiri", micromanagement and chest-thumping, something I have observed previously with my ex-Managers from Delhi NCR too I always knew people to be loud here. But this time, I just found things to be worse. Maybe it is because I'm from the South. As someone who has resided in 20+ locations across India for work, this was a new experience. I have learnt my folly. Trying to shift to any other city now.

Mumbai. I never see the sun rise up and never see the sun go down. Stayed for almost 1.5 years with 2 stints. Never Visited any meme spots except marine lines/cst. It's an exile for me to just work all your pain away. Cultural life theek hai if you have friends you vibe with you. Or your life in the metro can be very lonely. Bheed mein khoya aadmi is what you are in Mumbai without anyone who is with you. Not even a number. A breathing, bloating, decaying corpse amongst lakhs of bottom feeders. You don't know the top, you can never see them. Traffic is :| Work Life is dedicated slavery towards value creation. Bangalore and Delhi jaise bakchodi nahi hogi, but if you like working or are workaholic, you'll like it. People are nice. Rickshaw doesn't cheat you for merely existing in a public space. Meter works. Bus is cheap. Train is cheap. Taxi is also affordable. Public Spaces are tricky. Mumbai mein space nahi hai. But you need to have local friends to guide you. Miljayega thakur thikana
