As it stands, i have been through 0 appraisal cycles and this ia my first. Since i always see people jumping to new companies, does anyone get like amazing hike (say a random 30%+) in their existing company

30% in the early phase is definitely possible. As your CTC would grow, it would definitely come down
Yes, you do. I can say because I have had upwards of 30% for two continuous years along with company initiated retention bonuses that required me to be employed with the company for a certain period of time. And no, it was not because I was the most talented of the lot but because I was working on a product that was considered pivotal to the company's future success. So, getting such hikes is more a factor of luck than talent.
If u r in lower band of their budget for ur seniority and role then sure. Also possible with promotion if company is doing well
