was on the last stages of the conversations and got rejected for god knows what reason. capable enough to do stuff and get shit done and good experience but still. what a bad fucking time.

Happened to me too. All my answers were excellent, every interviwer said. They knew my comp feom the beginning.I was ready to settle for lesser. They wanted me to do everything at a lesser rate.
They got someone at an even lesser rate . Too much surplus in the market that people are not willing to give a chance.
Taking everyday as a new day practicing gratitude, to do list, walks, weight training and books is my day. Been doing it for 4 months.

This is so fucking true. I just need someone to take a bet on me especially because I don't come from a prestigious background but have proved my worth through proof of work but still it's so damn hard
Same here too. What do you do? Maybe I can help of you are in tech. I have alot of tech recruiter friends at good places but most are not hiring/ very few roles.

This usually happens when there is a disconnect between your hiring team manager and his/her manager. Last stage rejections usually do not happen for money reasons.
