Finally. GV feels a bit changed from what it was a few months back. This post is a pleasant throwback. I know 2024 isn't a good year to discuss this, but the anxiety is riding high going into the appraisal season. I overheard this topic in office yesterday and made me feel quite uneasy.

A guy at my company sde -2 is trying to micro manage me, it has been 6 months working as a full-time (fresh grad) and now if I think about it he tags me on issues which are hard and looks for ways whenever he finds me free to hand over something extra . Gives very little information about most of the issues. Is it normal?

What exactly should my role be called if I work on all of the following ML(mainly Computer Vision and Image Processing related stuff but other domains like NLP might also arrive in the future) Data Science(data extraction, cleaning, exploration, feature engineering following all of this with ML based predictions) Data Engineering(Data warehouse related stuff e.g. working with Airflow and creating DAGs)
