I believe men are becoming increasingly conscious of their appearance and it’s quite evident on GV as well. Working out, getting in shape is only L1 problem, personal care goes beyond working out. But there are two problems when men want to start personal care (skin,hair, body) 1. Lack of knowledge. Where to start? How to start? Which products to use? What is Vitamin C? WTF is a hyaluronic acid? 2. If #1 is sorted, then the second problem is laziness. I spoke to 220+ men and 70% spend only spend or want to spend 10-20 mins/day on personal care. I plan to solve this by, 1. Content. Becoming an education first brand. Best example is Ditto Insurance, they’re more of an advisor than a Insurance selling company. A good example in D2C space is The Whole Truth. I want to educate men about personal care. I want to build a brand that men turn to when starting their personal care journey. 2. Innovative products & Functionality. Men would benefit a lot from serum but they don’t use it primarily because the hassle of using a dropper, rubbing it on your face is too much. We’ll innovate how these products are made. Easy to use. I’ve dropped a full-time job offer to build this right out of college. Borrowed 10L from F&F. Registered the company and on-boarded a few kickass people to create content. Hope all goes well. I’ll keep sharing the progress here :)

What makes or breaks a partnership with a creative agency for you and your business? How long does it take to assess this? I'm currently assessing design agencies for a digital product design, and boy, it's kind of tiring. Many promise a lot of creativity but I rarely find good POC outcomes. For my budget, mature agencies feel out of reach. So I'm kind of stuck between being cost efficient and finding a good agency. Feel free to add your experience with design agencies and how they've enhanced or lessened experiences for you.

Hello everyone, I recently started my company and now want to hire actual people in the IT space. As other fellow humans, how'd you like the interview process to be for engineering roles? I don't want to follow the crazy white board algorithm norms, I need the job to get done, idc if you google or use ChatGPT as long as you understand the problem and the solution. Please share your inputs!

Team is less than 10 people still, slowly growing. Net profit could be higher, that's top priority to work on now. Total cash invested by founders was 15L over 3-4 years. Yearly revenue : 2019 - less than 30k 20 - 1.5L (after pivot) 22 - 50L Getting to the first lakh and then to 10 lakhs was probably the most challenging part. We thought of shutting down multiple times, struggled through multiple fights between founders. Glad we didn't stop working and pulled through. This is my 4th or 5th attempt at starting up. Except for 1, other attempts didn't even get to incorporation stage. Would love to hear from other bootstrappers and their experience.

What started as an Instagram-inspired social experiment has turned into a startup idea. Our generation has moved on from orthodox thinking (baring few people) to more emotional compatibility 2. Men have more worldly expectations, while women seek spiritual features; none are right/wrong as long as they find each other. 3. Very glad that no one 'expected' the partner to take up gendered roles as dictated by society So, coming to the matchmaking platform. The idea is to have all aspects of life considered - personality, profession, family, demographics, physical attributes, etc. and have a weighted scale against them. Though I have my doubts here 1. An Introvert will need an extrovert to seek them but will be drained of social battery later. How do they match? 2. Physical attributes pull down people who aren't confident with their looks; that doesn't relate to how good/bad they are as partners. But without pictures, it will be a risky surprise element. 3. Prevent parents from creating accounts on children's behalf. Probably a social media log-in Share your thoughts on the compatibility algorithm and the problems we may face. P.S. Saw this on Twitter today, found this interesting and loved the idea. The app is named - Jamm. A members-only social network that helps you meet all kinds of people over fun activities IRL. Tagline - ‘Never Have Another Boring Week’. The idea behind this as per founder (Able Joseph) is to improve the social health/life of its members. The more like-minded the community, the nicer its interactions will be. Here’s how it works. - Apply for membership - Once accepted, pick an activity (board games, bike rides, etc.) and post a Jamm - Receive requests from other members who are interested to be a part of your Jamm - Curate the people you wish to bring together - Coordinate with the Jammers on group chat - Meet them IRL and have a good time Interesting to see how they’ll be solving security challenges associated with meeting people.
