Need career advice

Hey everyone, I'm a React Native developer with 2 years of experience based in Surat, Gujarat. I recently completed my 2 years at my current job, but the appraisal discussion hasn't come up even after 15 days. I've been learning iOS development alongside my job since it's something I've always wanted to do. I’ve covered the basics of Swift and started with SwiftUI, but I’m not yet ready to take on an iOS developer role – I still need more learning and practice. I'm at a crossroads now. If I start looking for a new job, should I stick with React Native or switch to iOS? I initially learned React Native to get into mobile development because there were fewer resources for iOS. Now, I want to leave React Native behind, but I’m worried that switching might stop me from learning iOS. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do? Any advice would be really appreciated!

I have experience with Android Dev for around 1.5 yrs, then recently worked on backend for around 6 months. An opportunity for building an iOS app is also knocking at the door. I want to explore these options given that I graduated in 2020, I feel I am still in my early career. Will these doman switch hurt when I am back in Job market. As in not having enough vertical experience in one domain and spreading myself too thin. Suggestions will be appreciated!

I have 7 years of experience in IT with Mobile technology especially iOS. But now I can see there is not a big, long run and easy adaptive market in future to stick with technology. People with 3-4 years of experience can do the same what I am doing now. Although I have Team build and project management skills also but those are another level of headache. I have some experience with back end Tecnologies also and I love technical work and problem solving things. So I want to know want to know what I need to start learning next which is in high demand and high in pay and what are the various steps to learn those things. Some suggest AI, ML things some suggest Cloud Computing etc but nobody know what’s it way to grow with it. So I need your help with some brief short guidance for what I need to learn next. I am open for It.

I am an Angular developer. I want to switch my job. Should I learn react as well. Are there more jobs in react or Angular? People who are in the same field or maybe recruiters hiring for these roles, PLEASE HELP!! I am in a very toxic place right now in my company and really need to switch. I'd really appreciate your views.

Hi folks, I have 2.5 yr of experience in react native and JavaScript combined with current CTC of 12 LPA. Few months of experience in frontend. Currently I want to switch from my react native position to frontend position without taking a pay cut. How much is it different from react native and where should I be focusing the most. Reason for switching: I am not comfortable in current organisation with the way management works and I am also tired of react native.

I am a React.js Developer & have 2 YOE (6 months at a consultancy startup + 1.5 years in a service based MNC). I do not like working with React.js for multiple reasons & do not wish to pursue working with this further. I want to know what are some alternative career paths or technologies that are as much in demand & feasible to switch towards? Ideally, towards a more stable, battle-tested technology or tech stack and something that is as well paying too. (..continued from my original post) Some technologies that I considering are JAVA , ASP.NET & Laravel as unlike React.js, they are not loosely opinionated and don't have a constantly changing API where the way of writing code itself changes (e.g - redux and/or using data fetching libraries) . There is no standardised best practice to conform to. But, the problem is that I find Laravel jobs are not in use in corporates or large tech companies but apparently ASP.net core jobs are not as well paying for equivalent years of experience as that of a front-end React.js developer. TC - 8.6 LPA (2 YOE)

Currently working as an iOS developer at a startup, but not feeling curious about it anymore. I'm thinking of learning something new, like Go (Golang), to move into another field. Is this the right choice? Can anyone suggest anything?

What do u think the career trajectory will be for Native Mobile developers after 4-5 Years of experience? ( Android/Ios) Personally I think there are less senior/staff roles in india unless we pivot to BE or people roles we will not have an uptrend in our career. And what do u think about Hybrid frameworks ( like RN and Flutter) ? should we adopt them ASAP ? or not required to grow in the career ladder ? ( Please add YOE while answering It helps to see how early devs vs Exp devs think )

What resources are there to learn react native to become senior software engineer. How much knowledge should i have so that i can become a good software engineer. And can switch easily
