If your spends mostly are for amazon, then go for icici amazon card( actually even if you don’t spend much there still get the card, its 5% cashback and no charges)

If you use at restaurants and similar places, then go for regalia, good cash back. There maybe better options now.

If you travel and also have contributions to health insurance and stuff like that, use Amex.

If you spend online on special platforms a lot then take partnership credit cards.

And if you spend every where and prefer points to cashback, then there are bunch of cards but recently I heard good stuff about Standard Chartered Bank’s.

If you are young and don’t have much financial commitments then try to avail at least two to three cards. And maintain a log of target spends for each card. Take the low end ones. It will increase your score and also lets you get a bunch of benefits.

Most importantly protection against frauds.

But before you do all of this, make sure you really understand about credit cards and the pit falls.

Most of these recommendations are stuff I researched sometime ago.

I gained like some 10k just as a cashback doing essential things through sbi cashback card. Worth the bucks if you do online purchases and bookings of hotel and flight

It’s where you spend not how much you spend that determines the best card
