Do software engineer need mentoring as well?
Its been 3 years working in tech for me. There has been so much learning thanks to the great peers i had the chance to work with but I have this constant feeling that there is much more to learn and I might not be using my time effectively. I know there are video courses or playlists on youtube but after a stressful day of work it become tedious to sit through another video just blabbering stuff which stops making sense post 5 minutes. How do software engineers continue their learning journey without being burdened? Is one on one mentoring useful for such cases if money can be used for sense of commitment?

Yes ... Mentorship helps
Mentorship is definitely needed.
I personally wasted 2 years due to lack of guidance and did same mistakes done my many before.

Mentoring may help but that is not a given. I personally have had no mentor at all, in my professional experience. Surely I am not the only one in that boat. Finding a good mentor is a very difficult thing to do.
One may or may not need a mentor. I've occasionally reached out to people I look up to for advice, but that's it.
