Need Help in choosing company.
I am from a tier 1 college and our placements season is going on, this year the market is very bad, we have very less companies than the previous year and the pay is low as well. From Dec 1, our interview will start but till now I have got no interview shortlist. But I have got an off-campus offer for 13LPA in Greater Noida, I wanted to ask if 13LPA is good enough for living in Greater Noida. The recruiter asked me how much I expected I panicked and said 13LPA, actually I wish more than I said, I mean if they give 13LPA as base rather than CTC then it is more than enough for me. Should i take the offer or negotiate or do what? If negotiated, then how can the company agree to 13LPA base?
TL;DR: should I accept a 13LPA offer or negotiate it, for a dev role in Greater Noida. I am fresher sitting for my campus placements.
please help
Take the offer and keep interviewing
I don't think I have the mental strength to sit for more placement tests. They keep asking DSA questions which I am average among other people in college.
When you think you are done then you have just started. Keep pushing yourself.
If it's Samsung Research Institute, run! They treat people like sh*t and have a toxic culture beyond belief. The average tenure at Samsung is less than 1 year, which shows how bad it really is!
Lol, thankfully it's not. But i wanted to ask should I negotiate for better pay ? I know for a fact that the company will hire me. (Fingers crossed)
Of course, you should definitely negotiate! Target companies like Microsoft and ServiceNow, which offer ~20L for freshers
Greater Noida , 13 LPA - Why does it seem like STM ? If yes, it’s a good org and pay is okay as well.
It's not STM and I was looking for advice as to how to negotiate a better pay.
You can do offer shopping and show them the offer letter from another company. But at your level , these tactics won’t work as you still are about 6 months from graduation. So every company knows you would be shopping around and hence won’t take you very seriously.
I would say you have a better chance to grab a good package on campus placements
Nothing wrong. ElonTusk is just a prick
