A friend of mine has 4 years of experience in Treasury and FP&A (<6M) and is intending to look for a career switch into something more generic (Ex: Program Management). He has graduated from a top B-school and is unsure if it the right move. Could the community here throw some light as to how to shape his career?

My brother is into retail banking with around 15 years of exp. Now is he planning to switch and move towards project or pragram management. He is looking out for few certifications but havent been able to figure out one. Any recommendations from the community on how he should proceed.

Biggest query: Does this career move make sense? Or should the aim be towards a Manager position after spending 6+ years in Product Management?

->The question is will a MBA help to make the switch or a jump easier...or having work ex and then going for MBA is better ?* I'm an economics graduate (FRESHER) and currently working under 'growth and retention' having a decent exposure as the team is small...though I plan to switch from this role to PM. Hi Friends, I am seeking some ideas on how someone (she/her) with nearly 5 years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience can enter into the Finance Consulting area. Any thoughts on the sub-areas that can be a good fit, resume suggestions, company recommendations (which would like to hire such a candidate) would be much appreciated.

Any advice on how to move from Financial Operations to Advisory roles ? Have around 6 years of experience in Ops and Program Management. Also armed with CFA Charter. Is it still difficult to move to Research oriented roles?

A friend of mine is looking to move into product management/Founder’s office roles. He has around 6 years of work experience in operations management but had to leave the job because of personal reasons and after that break he picked up Sales Lead job. The job doesn’t pay much and he isn’t enjoying either. He is not able to find good operations and supply chain roles in India either. Do you have any advice on how he can make a transition into such roles? Any good courses that will help with placement also?

Hey everyone, seeking some career advice here. So, I've been grinding away in the risk domain at a big financial services MNC for about 2 years now ( have total experience of 5 years from similar companies), pulling in around 30 lakhs INR. Recently, I got a bit curious about what else is out there, so I started poking around. But here's the kicker – every HR rep I chat with says my pay is cool, but they're eyeing up MBA grads from fancy schools for the budget I'm looking out for. Thing is, I know my stuff. I've snagged awards, jumped up the ladder faster. But now I'm starting to sweat about whether my lack of an MBA is gonna bite me in the rear down the line. Plus, with all the chatter about layoffs, I'm low-key freaking about whether my gig here is as solid as I thought. Any advice on how to navigate this maze? Should I bite the bullet and go for that MBA, or stick to my guns and trust that my track record speaks for itself? Appreciate any wisdom y'all can drop!
