Someone I know uses this to filter out candidates. If you are not serious enough to take an interview on Sunday, you are not serious enough for the role. It's one of those shitty things a guy wrote in a power book and now people blindly follow suit

I would gladly do that because it's not conflicting with my work timings. The interviewer is taking time out of his weekend and the same couldn't be said for me since I am the job seeker and I simply don't get that privilege. I'm just being practical here.

I had to give a Saturday night interview as the person was in US and the company was desperate to close the position. Sometimes the desperation is on the other side. If they provide a good reason go ahead.

I'd rather take it .. as the Monday slot may be postponed due to the interview being busy and had to move. Having been there, interviewers don't like interviewing, esp if they have some urgent tasks. So, if h asks for Sunday, it means he is relatively relaxed in Sunday, and Mondays are busy.

Interviewed on a weekday the worst interviewer. I was searching some stuff about the company tells me you don't value my time šŸ¤£ Told them you did not tell me anything about the role [ was a vague job description ] Told me we are looking for extremely high achievers told me this thrice Asked him how he was doing no response let's start the interview Stay away from such companies

Depends how desperate I am for the job. Also the recent shark tank episode had a pitch which mentioned exactly this - they take interviews in the weekend, so it maybe for a different reason than for gauging your intent or filtering out candidates

Is it okay to ask for referrals on a weekend ?

So, I just came across an opening that I find myself a great fit w.r.t. the JD provided. But it's the weekend now. And I'm not sure if I should wait till Monday for me to DM the recruiter/senior dev working at that company asking for referral. On the other hand, waiting 2 more days might backfire on me as in the past where I had waited, the opening would get closed or removed on a Sunday night and I ended up not applying and losing out on the opportunity. What do you suggest ? The company is ANZ.

I am currently in a super hectic different tech stack project. I need 2-3 days or a week to be ready na? How do I convince the recruiters to have it after a few days not the next day or day after?

Rescheduling interview at the last minute

Would you continue interviewing with a hiring manager who reschedules at the last minute? (less than 10 minutes to the interview) Context- A recruiter reached out, resume shortlisted and interview scheduled 3 days in advance but still interviewer asks for rescheduling at the very last minute! Think about it- You put efforts to manage time & ensure availability in the middle of the week but interviewer canā€™t even manage 30 minutes for an interview?
