Thoughts on full stack dev?

I have seen a lot of positions about being full stack with a polyglot mindset. One of the full stack positions I worked for was almost always frontend with little backend work. I acknowledge it's a great way to learn as well and not everyone's cup of tea. But isn't this a clever way companies have got to churn more work from a single person while paying almost the same as a backend or a frontend dev?

I am 20, a full stack developer. I have experience working with typescript, javascript, solidity, c ,React, Next. I have worked on 2-3 projects as a full stack developer. I want to work on new projects also I am not in a financially stable situation. So if any of you looking for interns, please let me know. Please help me out, I would be grateful forever.

I am frontend developer with 5 years exp, no of jobs are generally high for full stack developers in platforms than only frontend developers. I was thinking going deep in frontend and learning more helps before.but current job market is changing my views. Can u plz help to clear my confusion on next steps in career!?

Just an hour ago I had a talk with someone I got to knew through my neighbour. He is a backend engineer by profession and experienced in the field. So I contacted him as I was looking for any job/internship and if he could refer me in any company through his networking. He asked what I was currently learning so I told him I am doing Full-Stack. I did 3 months internship in frontend and was going for backend so I could become a full-fledged developer. He told me not to do that instead pick either frontend or backend and go for it. He advised that big companies usually don't hire full-stack developers instead hire these roles separately so I should just focus on the domain I am good at. My placements are very close and I am learning as much as I can full-time so what should I do? I am already anxious whether I will get placed or not due to current market situation and advice like this makes me doubt whether I am going correctly or just wasting my time and efforts. So; can anyone tell me what should I do? Should I do full-stack or go with either frontend or backend?

Qualifications: BTech IT from tier-3 college, Pass Out in 2021, CGPA 7 Skills: Python + DSA (Intermediate), HTML, CSS, JS (Intermediate). In 2021 I was preparing for government job and was really passionate about govt services but I failed in CDS II 2021 and lose all of my focus and my parents want me to get a job in related field so in January 2022 I started looking for job in IT but I was not good at anything and so I thought I wasn't job ready and start learning to Python and DSA and Web Development but in meantime I procrastinated and wasted so much of my time I was demotivated with zero focus and after months I am still not good at anything I don't have anything to show on my resume no projects, no experience nothing. I have wasted more than a year just thinking what should I do and got nowhere. Lately I started to learn web dev from theodinproject.com and have completed foundations. Tbh i wasted time during this learning phase also and manage to complete this in a month. And after that I started to learn reactjs (haven't completed it yet) And now I am really desperate for a job. What should I do to get a job with minimum preparation like give 1 months and get a job? I am not looking for something specific. I don't have any goals. ATM I have no idea what I am passionate about. I'm 24 and unemployed and How can I turn my life around? All those years in school and college I never worked hard enough but now I regret it. I want to work hard now but have been procrastinating a lot. I need guidance on how to get a job and what to learn further to get a job. I would really appreciate it if you guys can guide me.

I am a FullStack engineer working at a startup with 1 YOE, lately I have realised that there are more specialist roles (Frontend/SRE) in most companies and are paid really well. I really like working FullStack (Typescript with Node/PHP) and am wondering if I'll have to become a specialist in order to have a well paid job in future 🤔 ?

With AI improving we see it is quite capable of writing decent codes, how can someone new to tech decide on what to pick up? Frontend or Backend or both. Nowadays they say Full stack developers are in demand but shouldn't one be good at at least one thing and have knowledge about other things? How to prioritise what to learn. There are just so many things that I'm a bit confused as to what to learn and focus on. I'd like to seek advice from a future perspective, and any predictions on how the tech industry might shape up.
