I think Sequoia and A16Z had this in mind: - Elon is super driven to build an Open AI competitor - Elon is excellent at navigating new frontiers: spacetech & EVs (the only person to do it twice like that) - Well, Elon.

Also honestly 1. The market is proven to exist 2. Founder has network 3. Founder has earlier successes 4. Founder has previous connections with OpenAI Probably a no-brainer just because of these points. The valuation is bad though 😅 too much competition from other products

What is the deal with Analytics India Mag

Been seeing a lot of articles by the publication praising google's gen AI model - Gemini and the strategy around it. Articles heavily implying doom is just around the corner for Open AI because Gemini is going to kill it. I firmly think Open AI currently has a huge headstart, and is the model of choice for devs as well as general folks and google (where i also work) has a lot (A LOT!) of catching up to do. Does anyone get the same sense from their articles?
