Why Lakshadweep has no tourism despite same water quality Maldives won the best destination award in 2020. Also we have a clean water and beautiful beaches like Maldives but why we are losing huge tourism opportunity?
Whole Maldives is dependent on the Tourism
Also I think you've to take special permission to go to Lakshadweep
That's monopoly and created by locals, they don't want tourism
I mean tbh if the locals don't want tourists maybe it is for a reason? Look what happened to places like Bali and Hawai, locals have been asking tourists to not visit as it's become extremely difficult for them to survive.
Lakshadweep is expensive
With that budget , you can easily go to Thailand or Vietnam
You can book a 5 star resort at less than half the cost you get in Lakshadweep or Andamans.
