Should retail investors be worried?
Views??
Promoters also sell for funding other ventures. Happens a lot in big conglomerates. Without more information this is just speculation.

Naah, happens all the time. They might have their own money needs, doesn't just reflect the confidence in their company.
Question is: If you wanted to sell, what else would you buy? Sab toh expensive hai. Except probably FDs

When companies and promoters bought their own stock, we got scared that they were overleveraging their firms with buybacks. When rates are on the rise and they are selling, we are scared again.
Even if it is a red flag, what else are we gonna look out for?

I read a tweet that made sense, promoters need to sell their shares to maintain income/cash flow. This could we be part of that.
Go to screener.in and type stock name and check promoter holding of that company

The stock market is becoming a dumping ground.
MF give 12-14% return.
Inflation - 4-7%
Rupee depreciation - 2-4% ( compared to $)
Real return - 3-6%
What a world
I am surprised by the optimism of some early stage investors. Though, it’s not clear how the promoter selling is distributed across large/mid/small caps. My hypothesis is - the distribution might be skewed towards mid/small.
Those who are confused should look at multi-asset funds. A simple google search will give some good ideas.

Well, tons of retail folks are buying dumb IPOs. Seems like a great way to dump garbage. Has been happening for a while.
