What are the pros of moving to Bengaluru(24M)?

Hello boys, gals and all other pals! I am switching jobs rn and I have offers from a European auto anc in Bengaluru and one in Chennai. Ceteris paribus, I wanted to know how much of a difference does being in Bengaluru make interms of future job opportunities Are there a lot of walk-in interviews for companies based out of there, job fairs etc? Is there a subconscious or otherwise preference for candidates already based out of Bengaluru? Also, how is Bengaluru in general for a 24M, single, introvert whose daily non-work activities include going to the gym, reading boatloads of stuff and watching sports? Thanks in advance for the replies

Transport would potentially become worse going to BLR, but QOL can improve, due to crowd and mentality differences compared to MAA.

There is a significant difference, I have been to both and stayed, explored both. It does really depend on the locality and vibe of the crowd you hangout as well, but in the overall city sense as well there are differences.

Bengaluru and Chennai are pretty large cities for facilities like gym and clubs shouldn't be a problem. Would still prefer Bengaluru over it's weather (Chennai weather is pretty harsh honestly). Transport wise Chennai should be better (don't have a lot of experience about public transport) but it becomes irrelevant if you have your own bike (which you can 24M). Career wise, Bengaluru>Chennai for jobs in Tech industry. The biggest con of Bengaluru is rent which you may wanna consider before deciding

"Bengaluru>Chennai" yeah I noticed that a lot of companies I applied to were based out of Bengaluru. Some did not mandate in-person interviews while some did. I was unsure how common mandatory in-person interviews are. Do you have any idea?

Most of them do not have in person interview. The trend has changed quite a lot since COVID

There are no pros. Come to blore if you want to enjoy being on the road for 3 to 4 hrs a day. Some of you friends will give you a master plan, that you can work here for 3-4 years get some exp and move abroad or elsewhere. It wont happen. You walk in. you probably will never get out. Not because you will love it, but the weather is nice compared to other metros and cities. Everything else is bad. Homes/rents- expensive, traffic - unbelievable, water- some areas supply is thru tanker, if you look for cheaper house, get ready for water scarcity. schools - affordable ones look like tution centers, you want the ones with a decent playground it will be far or expensive. Overall -blore is not livable, but to other cities like gurgram, mumbai, Chennai are shitholes too. So, this is just a shithole with good weather.
