What should the pay be?

I’m currently hiring for a financial analyst position for my startup. They’ll be the first core employee. I’m looking for a person with an experience of 2-3 years. The capabilities that I’m looking forward in them are REFM (Real Estate financial modelling), financial analysis, calculation of ROI implications and understanding metrics suck as IRR, XIRR, CAGR etc for Real Estate Investments and Risk Management. Currently we’re developing the technology and were commuted for Pre-Seed investment. So the role would also require to fulfil cross functional tasks. How much Base pay and equity/ ESOPs should I be considering?

Does any one work for startup’s which are not based in India? What should be the ideal compensation expectation in such cases. Is it fair to ask for a salary equivalent to that of an US software dev if the startup is based in the US?

I frequently see these remote PM jobs that are promoted on LinkedIn and seem to pay quite well. Anyone has any experience interviewing with these or are currently working with them? Would be interesting to know if these are indeed remote and pay so much

How's the pay for analysts in banks like Citi, HSBC, IDFC etc? My "assumption" is they have a better work life balance compared to start-ups (I work in one - CTC being 28lpa - almost 4 YOE). Why am I asking? Looking at how things are going on at BLR, I'm planning to someday switch to company with work from home and better work life balance.

I am currently employed as a Lead Business Analyst(Total Exp:6 Years) at a US-based edtech company with a fixed CTC of 25 LPA. My skill set includes Tableau, SQL, Python, Automations, Statistical Analysis, and Stakeholder Management. Lately, I've noticed a lack of substantial job calls, and the few I've received are capped at ~27 LPA. Some recruiters even claim that I'm already in a higher salary band, which I believe might not be accurate. I'm curious if anyone has insights into potential reasons for this, whether it's related to my skill set, the current job market, or other factors. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I need a remote job ASAP. It’s depressing staying here. Also, I’m getting married this year and I need some mental peace and stability before that. Please suggest some ways I can get a remote job.
