Employment bond

Depends on the company mindset and resources. Some companies who are resourceful take bonds, not joining competition clauses etc very strictly and go for legal steps if employees do not adhere to it. And any signed document (contract) in the valid (legal) language can be held true in the legal system. So don't get fooled by what the shark of season 1 says about the notice period, bonds, etc. If you have signed it then you are legally bound to adhere to it.
