Switch from pentesting to software developement

So I work in cybersecurity i have a chance to switch in Software dev(due to past exp) but in not sure if I'm interested or not in dev. I was thinking to go in Devops. Anybody help?

But I want to improve my skills and also want to get into product based companies. I am learning from tryhackme for now. But I need more suggestions on road map and also could you please share you interview experience at product based companies for pentesters. I am 32, and I am currently working in IT support (Incident/problem management. I have currently working in my company for 7 years, and I am currently very much underpaid even though my managers and management are happy with my work. I have tried to switch into the same domain in another companies but they are expecting me to lower down the salary, and then I came to know that this job role doesn't yield much and growth is dead end. So, I am looking to switch into Devops since I find it interesting after exploring other options. May I ask whether it is possible to make a switch after 11 years in the IT industry and how much realistically it is possible? I would appreciate your suggestion and feedback. Thank you

Hey everyone, I am currently working as a security analyst working for a company that provides pentesting as a service to its clients. I am getting paid 17lpa fixed salary. I earn 80-90k from freelancing every month pre taxes. So should I switch or not. It's been 3 years I am in this company and I can't see much growth now. I will be doing the same work. The work is full remote and the culture of company s also nice and workload is fine. What should I do? Should I look for a product based company but most of them call onsite. I want remote work only that is mandatory.

Hi Folks, I am a penetration tester having 7 years of experience. Though I am doing pretty well in my current role, I am not feeling the impact it creates. Security is seen as a support function and does not bring real value other than audit reports for the sake of regulatory requirements. Building something gives the real impact on thousands of customers. I want to switch to SDE roles, willing to put whatever the effort it takes. Suggestions please.

I have 10+ years of experience as QA automation engineer and now I am thinking about changing the movement from QA profile to Dev profile as I have seen some of the exponential growth in dev profile, I am sure If I am thinking it correctly but I think this would be a good decision for me so Posting here to get some feedback about it.

Short version:-So guys I am working as an automation tester wanted to switch to Development? Long version:- So i joined my current company as fresher.Had basic knowledge of java then was trained on java spring boot Microservices devlopment. Then put on bench for about 5 month(i actually wasted that time).Now got a project I do automation using python and selenium.I don't like doing it . So now I want to switch to development. Confused should i learn Django, Node js or should stick with java spring only. I am more inclined towards django as now i write automation script in python. And i personally feel it to be better then java (maybe cause it is easier to write).But i don't know market trends. That's why guidance needed.Thanks in advance
