How to get into B2B deals
Hey guys, last year I built an website to match B2B advertisers and publishers. Like Ad-Mob but for bigger brands and platforms.
Mostly think: the ability to seamlessly explore and book ad spaces in popular apps like PhonePe, Paytm, and Swiggy!!!
But I still can’t get big enough clients with deep pockets to buy them. Most brands just directly go to the merchant ad websites so I tried to get informative dashboard to get people use it for market research. Still no growth.
What should I do??? Can anyone help or explain what I am doing wrong!
Companies only want two things:
- Increase in topline via more sales, better branding, etc
- Increase in bottom-line via operational efficiency
The above two without increasing the headache
What you have done sounds pretty interesting, but maybe it increases the work of marketing team.
Could you please share why clients are not getting onboarded? What reasons/excuses are they giving?
@SS_Croaker The main reasons are budget and brands. To place ads on top-tier apps you need a good enough budget and a brand that they can work with. Please have come up to me with 1/2.5 lakh budget which might seem big but is still small. Also most apps coming are RMG apps and games.
What's the minimum ad spend that you would prefer?
Have you reached out to agencies? Big brands advertising is managed by agencies.
How did u integrate with companies on which u want to show the ad like Swiggy, Paytm etc? Do they have APIs for the same?
Nope, mostly I know the sales team so if any brand has budget or plans to show ads on top-tier apps, I help them with market research and negotiations.
I plan to build my own SDK like AdMob but hard to sell to the app for now. Will have to target smaller apps with 100k+ downloads.
Read the features page for now => https://adspace.gallery/features
Can brands use your platform to Target pre-defined customer base , for cross sell etc ?
@Damaru Yes brands can. I get all the data about the demographics and help brands setup their first campaign. Also negotiating with the top-tier brands like Swiggy, Zomato and PhonePe!!!
3 points acc to me:
-
can you suggest how is your platform diff from a dv360 kind of system or any programmatic platform for that matter?
-
most publishers will want the direct sales team to get ads at premium rates.
-
many of them also open inventory via programmatic deals
and lastly they open some inventory via remnant open auction.
my sense is your answer lies in the response of these 3 points.
@HopefulTv
For now -
- No programmatic platform or ad network as it is spread upload a lot of different apps.
- Negotiating with multiple apps like Swiggy, Zomato and PhonePe can take weeks from starting to setting up campaigns. I handle all of that.
- I am building an informative dashboard for brands to do research before setting up where and how to get the best demographics.
