OYO has been running the biggest hospitality scam I've ever come across. Here's how it goes: 1. Open app book hotel, decent rates 2. Reach hotel, owner denies checkin saying low tariff 3. Changes tone to "we've been off OYO for past 2 years due to non clearance of bills" 4. Say OYO isn't taking hotel off platform, ultimate 🧢. 5. Ask you to pay 2x of what was online 6. Midnight, so no option 7. Canceling booking on OYO, OYO still charges fees and first day rent. 8. Customer care goes dead unresponsive

You will find instances like these dating back 3 years on Twitter. All parties involved benefit, but these shmucks at OYO lose a customer each time. I guess they did the calculations and realised it was worth it. Still pretty scummy behavior, hope they crash and die before the IPO

Oyo is a scam - both as a service and a company to invest in. They are just trying to find investors stupid enough to buy into the company so that current investors can exit with minimum loss on their investments. If they IPO all past OYO employees will come forward and share horror stories of their business model and malpractices.

In last 6-8 months there has been lot of layoffs and many startup getting scrutinised due to funding etc.. But I can’t see Oyo name anywhere… Not much layoffs or nothing on their crunch. Are they doing good or successful?
