How to clear placement test

A month ago, a well-known company visited one of my friend's universities for an on-campus placement drive. They set the eligibility criteria very high to filter out students. However, they conducted all 3-4 rounds online, and as tech students, we all know how easy it is to find ways to cheat in such situations. Consequently, some undeserving students got placed. Believe me, they are students who don't even know basic fundamentals and programming syntax properly.

Just got to know recently that a tier 1 mba college didn’t conduct interviews as part of their admission process during covid. Just CAT scores sufficed. In addition to this, post admission, these batches didn’t have proctored exams, they could collaborate and solve the exams together and then submit their answers online. Please do reply if this was very common during Covid across other colleges and any other such crazy lapses across colleges.

Cheating happening in a lot of online assessments. I'm a 2024 graduate and I've worked very hard. I've a consistent streak of 390+ days on leetcode. I'm proficient at CS fundamentals. I have knowledge of web, restAPI and ML. Recently a company visited (startup). It was offered 20L CTC for associate software engineer role. This company conducted OA in 4 batches and all batches had same qn. I'm tye only guy who got shortlisted from batch 1 and rest of the batch guys cheated and shortlisted. In the interview they rejected me for not knowing system design. I then messaged the founder of the company about cheating in exam and how crappy their system was. He didn't care. He replied saying that he already knows. Idk where the hell our world is going with such founders. For him it's about his company. For me it's about my job and hardwork. Is there anything I could do about this? And the guy who got selected cheated in OA and he was in the 3rd batch.

TCS organises an internal exam called "Wings 1" by which the new joiners can double up their salary. (They get extra incentives, it's added as a separate item in Salary Slip). • No Fairness • No transparency , just hope so that you get stuck in the loop. So they organise this 3 times in a year so that they can cover the whole year. (Selling Hope of Getting Cleared Every Cycle). > A few months back they changed rules as most of the people were on the verge of clearing it. > There is no particular syllabus for most of the exams. > If you are on the verge of clearing Required Tracks, you will potentially end up getting failed in one of them for sure.(you'll never know why !) > There's no marking scheme. > The exam centres are 50-60KMs away. > You can't even see how many marks you scored. > The Result comes after a month, that too is sometimes delayed.(This is the same TCS which organises JEE etc exams). > If more people are clearing, they reshuffle marks (Happened in Earlier Cycle). > Even after so many obstacles if you clear it: if your manager gives you C band it goes away... they call themselves employee friendly 😂. Most of the new joiners get stuck in this cycle & end up losing their precious time. Someone should raise this issue. many of my male batchmates with similar coding skills got internship opportunity at top companies like Google, Sprinkler, GS, etc. And i wasn't able to crack even the coding round. later I got to know about everyone was involved in cheating during online coding test forming groups and giving it together. what should I do now, should i consider taking any small internship at some random startup for the sake of filling the experience section of my resume? I will be having placement season after 6 months around september. someone guide me what should i focus more these many days. I am from tier 1 college and around 1500 rated on codeforces and done some good projects in mobile developement.

My friends from good colleges are getting jobs, and sitting for more interviews. And in our college very less companies are coming(2-3 companies/month). I'm preparing really hardly. But couldn't getting any opportunities. So, day by day getting more depressed. What should I do?

I am an engineering student from tier 1 clg, with very low cgpa. My chances of getting those high paying jobs is very low as I don't code and the only options left for me is analyst and pm. Please suggest me how should I prepare for off campus placements/ internship as I have no idea that how are they different from on campus placements

Hello Everyone Currently In 6th semester of my btech I know a little bit web dev ( fronted only ) some basic DSA should I do competitive coding as I have seen many people doing it for online assessment rounds ( PS , I'm targeting off campus placements )

There is this one company which came to our campus offering 10.5L CTC and literally selected 251 students at a time when even our college (tier 1) is struggling to place even 50% students and maximum hiring per company is around 10. When you read this company's reviews online, the reviews are like they don't pay stipend for months and ask you to sell courses irrespective of if you are a developer. In fact, they ask for money from interns for 'charity' work. And the best part is, everyone who gave the test got selected, without any interviews. I think that college knows the reality but they still allow this so that the placements stats improve (adding 250+ students at a CTC of 10L really improves the placed percentage and the average package)
