Does anyone know how to get freelance opportunities for product managers?

I have 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Strategy primarily in the Fintech & Payments domain. I am looking for places where I can get opportunities as a freelancer to build my portfolio and earn extra money. Please suggest places/ websites from where PMs can get opportunities either as a freelancer or consultants.

Since PM is more of a remote friendly role, what are some good ways to find freelance PM opportunities from US/UK/Australia/Singapore, etc. ?

I'm wondering if there are actually any freelance or part-time opportunities for product managers. I have only seen PMs work in full-time positions. Is PM by design a full time function? Fellow PMs do share your 2 cents on this! 🙌

Is anybody here doing freelancing as a Product Manager? If yes then how? where do you look for gigs and other stuffs. Do let us know the process in detail!

Been working for top product companies for 6+ years as a software developer and currently product manager. Motivation earlier used to be learning etc but right now its mostly money where i am currently at. There is no skill growth, just applying what i already know, days are busy which doesnt give me any time for other things ( upskilling, side projects) Explored the market and have found freelancing role that lets me 1. work remotely 2.Gives me opportunity to work on latest tech stack ( frustrated with not being able to code in my current job) 3. Lets me control my time as fixed hours are billed and you can commit hours ( might work only 20-30 hours a week and reclaim the rest) Thinking of transitioning but not sure as we are fed to work in good product companies and look at service/freelancing in bad light. I feel like most of what i needed to learn via my job in product management, i have learnt already and feel like not being able to code as much is making me outdated as a builder. Tldr: good job that pays well but skills are not growing, another option is to turn to freelancing, earn 70% of what i currently earn but helps me upskill, gain control of my time and maybe experiment with side projects in remaining time

Product - A low tech solution for non tech savvy brands to reduce their ad spend upto 40%. Problem - Indian d2c brands spend $7b every year on ad spend. Achieve <2% retention and ROAS is <2. This is because their is no other way than ad spend to acq customers. Tech - something at the cross-section of ecommerce, web3 & influencers economy. Core team in place - 2 engineer, 1 coo. Enough cash to survive till pre seed and get early pmf. Will raise pre seed $1.5m. Founders: ex-Swiggy Udaan Uber Microsoft Zomato Rapido At end of the yr 5... Best case exit for you: ~7-9cr. Avg case: 3-5 cr. Worst case: 60L-1cr.
