Switching to VLSI after 2 years experience in embedded

"Hey everyone! I recently got campus placed in a fantastic company with a great package, focusing on web development. However, I've developed a strong interest in embedded systems and would love to pursue a career in that field. The only challenge is that I don't have any professional experience in embedded systems, aside from working on a few projects. I'm facing difficulties in finding relevant job opportunities in the embedded domain due to this lack of experience. I'd greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to make a smooth transition into embedded systems, despite not having direct job experience.

Hi guys, I have done my Masters in Solid Sate Electronic materials from IIT Roorkee and am currently working as an embedded developer. With the semiconductor boom on the way, how can I change my line of work to designing and fabrication of ICs. Any pointers on what companies I can apply to or courses I can take to be eligible for taking up these roles. Thanks in advance.

I have roughly 4 years of experience in mobile engineering, specializing in native iOS and Flutter development. I currently enjoy my role and am successful in it. However, recent discussions about the IT market have prompted me to consider a career switch to VLSI, leveraging my degree in ECE and recent proficiency in electronics, honed through GATE preparation. Has anyone made a similar career change? Any suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated.

Hi. I'm a new grad and very passionate about embedded systems. I've applied at a dozen places but not hearing back. I've experience in systems programming (GSoC and LFX) and am interested in embedded, firmware, device drivers or related. Being from a Tier-unknown college doesn't help either. Hey guys a master's student here . So it's finally that time of year placements have started and the first companies to arrive are the hardware companies like micron , TA etc So here's the question is it ok to start your career in these companies considering they are not SDE profiles ? I am aware that the highly specialised roles that these companies offer will end up becoming dead end in longer run . They are offering position only for the masters students How difficult would it be to transition into different core cs companies? My coding skills are not that great , still grinding out leetcode ? Should I just end up joining these hardware companies or wait and try to crack sde positions ? (The competition is extremely high for those companies and undergrads are great coders)
