Dog parents of Grapevine. Looking for suggestions and opinions
Dog parents of Grapevine, specifically those of you living in apartments in cities (that's my preferred living setup for the next 10-15 years atleast), what breed do you have? I'm planning to get a dog this year and I have already shortlisted couple of apartment friendly breeds. I would however love to know what you have to suggest. So far I have shortlisted - Boxer, beagle and cocker spaniel. I am not keen on mutts, and indie breeds like rajapalyam and chippapara won't do well in apartments. Would love to know your thoughts on this

I adopted an indie breed in my apartment. Few months were challenging as it was a pup. But once trained, it was smooth. Potty training is must.
Your choices are fine considering you have a 2bhk with balcony.
Yeah, it'll be 2 bhk only. Already started watching training was prep, will be taking it as seriously as possible with time permitting between work

I would suggest a mid sized dog over a small one, they tend to have more complications and are vulnerable
Most breeds can be trained well, including indie
Yeah, not at all considering small ones due to their relatively aggressive behavior. Any particular mid breed you recommend from your experience?

Labradors and Indies I'd say
Dogs are such a lovely creature. Always playful, protector. They sense dangers lurking nearby but this peaks only when they are in their packs. Why do you want to get a single dog and imprison it in a 4 walled building away from other dogs, just so you can get internal gratification of helping a poor animal or may to to fill the empty void in heart. It this right ? You are thinking you are adding family but is that dog feeling same. Keep yourself in shoes of such a evolved intelligent animal. Trapped and surround by other species who give him everything except freedom and no one from his species to communicate.
