Layoffs at Ola in engineering team. Any other team effected??

Ola started laying off again. This time they had fired all the freshers of 2022 batch . Every 2-3 months we see this situation.

Loosing respect for the companies which are laying off the freshers. I thing it is the worst thing which can happen in an industry. Ola and Amazon have fired freshers very recently. Any other companies which had done this?

Officially the company says it will lay off 10% of its workforce. But employees say the actual figure is more. Can someone give more information on this? At [email protected] ?

A good friend of mine who was hired in Ola Electric (on campus 2022) as SDE has been put up on the performance improvement plan / PIP. Interesting part is that half of her team was laid off and remaining ones have been put up on PIP. Those on PIP are being asked to also pay for 3 months salary along with the joining bonus. I don't think giving back 3 months salary and joining bonus is something she should accept? Like they're anyways ruining their career by putting them on PIP in first 10 months of their start of career?

Is this all for IPO ?

Curious if layoffs are going to start happening in EV/mobility sectors especially after Ola last week. I’m hearing Spinny in the market is next. a friend was asked to start creating KT docs out of the blue and after he asked 4-5 folks from other teams, he found out several others had been asked to too. anyone at Spinny hearing this? what about you folks at Ather, Hero etc?

Have heard that the company is firing people left right and centre. Sales people are living quarter to quarter. BDRs are being asked to go. Growth team has dissolved. Customer success folks are being fired. COO has resigned. Jio has tightened its funding purse. Toxic culture all around! Utterly clueless company !!
